SADD's approach to the problem was to develop peer-to-peer academic programs in school chapters which range from center schools to colleges. In 1997, SADD expanded its objective to incorporate underage drinking, drug abuse, reduced driving, physical violence, and committing suicide. SADD's programs are keyed to your needs of individual school areas. These commonly include peer-led classes, forums, workshops, seminars and rallies, as well as other awareness-raising activities. Over its first decade, SADD did with numerous federal & state agencies, nonprofit groups & fundamentals to have its message across. By 1990, due simply to the work of SADD, the quantity of young people killed in liquor related accidents fell to 2,000 per year.
