I create videos for my customers for my business and many times need background music for youtube videos. Most"Many of these videos use background music. In our world it is widely known what the fines are for using music without licensing in our products. What people outside our industry may not realize is that copyright holders earn big money suing violators. So they are continuously searching for violators. It was not long ago that someone filmed Tony Romo's wedding and used a Coldplay song without permission. Rumor has it that he got fined a very large dollar amount. I think they ended up settling out of court, if I remember correctly. It was enough to convince me to buy licensed music tracks for my work every time. It really doesn't cost that much either. I bought a package of 100 tracks for less than thirty dollars recently.
