Twenty-six years following the founding of MADD, liquor related driving deaths in the us are reduced to about 17,000 annually. Today MADD has 600 chapters, community action groups and offices in the us. SADD had been created by Robert Anastas of Wayland highschool in Massachusetts as Students Against Driving Drunk in 1981. SADD emerged being a reaction to over 6,000 teenagers being killed in alcohol associated accidents every year. Anastas and 15 other students published the Contract for Life to facilitate communication between young people & their moms & dads about possibly destructive choices associated with alcohol. Call a Limo or get a buddy to drive you.
